Logging

The maintenance of state forests and other activities of the Lithuanian State Forest Enterprise are financed from the revenues generated by selling raw timber. These revenues also contribute to the national budget.

Our logging process:

    WE CUT TREES ONLY FOLLOWING THE PERMISSIBLE CUTTING RATE: NO MORE THAN 60 PERCENT GROSS ANNUAL INCREASE.

    WE PRUNE CUT DOWN TREES, PRODUCE LUMBER.
  3. 3
    LUMBER AND LOGGING LEFTOVERS ARE REMOVED FROM COMPARMENTS AND STACKED IN TIMBER STOCKS, IN EASY-TO-ACCESS POINTS.

Each year, we sell approximately 3.6 million cubic meters of raw timber. Our revenues are directly dependent on the logging quota set by the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania.

Currently, the logging quota set by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania is approved for the years 2024-2028 and it is confirmed annually by the Minister of Environment.
