Social resposibility is key activity of a sustainable company.

We operate responsibly and transparently in the market, protect the environment, actively contribute to the promotion of values important to the community, take care of employees’ well-being, ensure their equal rights and opportunities at work, follow the values of respect for people, society and nature that are stated in our mission to nature, society and employees.

Responsible Farming

One of our tasks of is to meet the requirements of the Lithuanian national FSC forest management standard. The purpose of the certification is to confirm that the Company’s forests are managed and used in accordance with the approved forest conservation principles. At present, all state forests (slightly more than 1 million ha) in Lithuania have FSC forest management certificates.

Waste Management in Forests

Every year, in the forests of 26 regions we collect 700 tons of various bulky waste. As much as 200 tons are old tires. To preserve and keep our forests tidy, we constantly collect large amounts of waste and dispose of them correctly.

Environmental Protection

Environmental protection is important in our activities. As the largest forest manager in the country, we are responsible both for the sustainable use of the forests entrusted to us and for the preservation of the values in the forests. When planning economic activities in forests of state importance managed by the right of trust, we determine the condition of forests during forest management works and prepare a project for the use of forest resources that is harmonized with the needs of society and the company, forest and environmental policy.

Reducing Climate Change

We aim to increase the scope of nature management activities by intensifying the prevention of the negative effects of climate change.

Protecting Ecosystems and Maintaining Biodivesrity

We aim to actively ensure the conservation of forest species and habitats and to extend the application of nature management measures for the protection of forests, wetlands and meadows. Nature management measures are active actions aimed at maintaining or restoring the habitats of protected species or other protected natural habitats.

Young Forest Friends: Renewing the Activity

Working with young forest friends has always been an integral part of the work of foresters. For many years the foresters have cared for students who are united by their love for nature, who are interested in the forestry and who nurture a conscious and curious generation of forest lovers.
